Friction Savers were designed to minimize friction on your climb line and also at the tie in point in the tree. When a rope is running through a natural crotch it tends to create large amounts of friction that can easily glaze a rope and burn through the cambium layer of the tree. Featuring a small ring on one side and a large ring on the other side which facilitate easy installation and removal from the ground. Available in hardcoat anodized aluminum.

Wouldn't be without it

If you do not have one get one not only minimizes friction when your rope but it's super great for when you have a good tie in point and you need to go on the backside of your tie in point The friction saver will follow around to the backside and not bind up and get tight unlike when you use natural Crouch. You can set it with your throw line and it's super easy to retrieve would not be without one!
