Bought the 30" to Hitchclimber/Valdotain Tresse on 7/16" line, but I find it has to be reslacked about every 3 tugs. I'd recommend the 32" for a 3 wrap/3braid, as the 30" was just a hair too short to get the 3rd braid on 7/16"/11mm line. Switched to a 3/1 Distel and now it works flawlessly (but has a few inches of setback per pull - would prolly go with 28" if I were to do it again. Perhaps a 3/2 Distel would help but I haven't tried it) even if your rope is covered in pine sap.
Eyes come coated in some sort of hardener, which you are not supposed to squish and make pliable - just use it as-is. It'd probably be advisable to pick up a few of them rubber washer type things to set on the side of your pulley/hitchclimber to prevent premature wear, because the eyes tend to shift and pinch inside the pulley attachment hole, where it rides on the carabiner.
Thickness is comparable to the spine of a Petzl OK TL carabiner or a Sharpie.
