Friction Savers were designed to minimize friction on your climb line and also at the tie-in point in the tree. When a rope is running through a natural crotch, it tends to create large amounts of friction that can easily glaze a rope and burn through the cambium layer of the tree.
This friction saver is light, flexible, and adjustable! It can be installed and retrieved from the ground. Friction saver is 72" (6 feet) in length, but the prusik cord adjusts to make it as small as you need. Rated to 5,000 lbs - for human support only.
Rings are available in steel or hardcoat anodized aluminum.
The rope ends are available as stitched (sewn with machine) or spliced (by hand) to the rings.
