Part Number:SAD-ONYX
The Onyx Tree Climbing Harness is designed to give you mobility and versatility while climbing. The rope bridge offers huge amounts of movement while the ingenious back pad helps support the climber while aloft. The interesting back pad design works off of smart design over bulky padding. The diamond shaped webbing and stitching of the back pad design help reduce fatigue  while climbing. SMC rigging plates give the climber added options for attaching lanyards and climbing systems.

New Tribe was founded around recreational tree climbing. This means making everyone comfortable in the trees and that flows right into the Onyx harness!

I have had many saddles from the puma to the ergovation. And this one is by far the most comfortable I have worn. It holds nice around the back when standing on spikes. And it cradles you in a sitting poison when just hanging. I just yesterday spent 8 hours in a silver maple wearing this saddle and I would recommend it.

5 star saddle!
They built this saddle for comfort. The mobility i have in it is amazing thanks to the rope bridge. Its very easy to slide on and off and with the quick release buckles on both leg straps make it even easier. I climb everyday for hours, and this saddle helps me get the job done. Very light weight. I would recommend this belt to anyone.

Though I was disappointed to learn that the Nikosi saddles had been discontinued, I am extremely happy with the Onyx. It is less bulky and lighter. The maneuverability on the rope bridge is awesome and I love all of the options available for work positioning with the D-ring/rigging plate combo. Despite less padding, the overall design, wide leg straps, and integrated butt strap make it very comfortable. The buckles make for quick on/off. I do miss the tool snaps that came on the Nikosi and other New Tribe saddles, but a small biner in one of the numerous loops does the trick. This saddle is a great value and I would recommend to anyone working in trees.
