Rising Above the Rest: Solidur TREE CLIMB Boot

Rising Above the Rest: Solidur TREE CLIMB Boot

Your boots are more than just personal protective equipment; they're a part of you. They affect your climbing efficiency, boost your confidence in the canopy, and determine how you feel when the day is done. Years spent in tree care revealed that not all arborist boots can handle the rigors of tree work.

That’s why the Tree Climb boot is different!

Instead of being a basic work boot adapted for climbing, this boot was purpose-built for professional arborists, particularly those who climb using stationary rope systems (SRS) and/or utilize foot and knee ascenders. Every detail, from the choice of materials to the way it integrates with ascenders, shows that Solidur listened closely to industry professionals when designing the Solidur Tree Climb boot.

The Design

The first thing you will notice about this boot, it's unapologetically purpose-built. Every feature serves a function that ground workers and tree climbers actually need, not marketing fluff.

The boot strikes a balance that’s hard to find:

  • Stiff enough for long hours in gaffs

  • Flexible enough for natural foot movement

  • Minimal slip interference thanks to their unique knee ascender foot loop design.

Whether you’re pruning, removing, or performing technical rigging, Tree Climb boots feel like they were designed around real-world arborist movement.

Premium Materials That Hold Up in Real Tree Work

Tree work is brutal on footwear. Sap, friction, moisture, abrasion, and unforgiving terrain push gear to the limit. Solidur did not cut corners here.

Perwanger cowhide leather is recognised for its outstanding water and abrasion resistance. This leather is engineered to withstand the demands of daily climbing, retaining both durability and appearance over time. The design also features Cordura and stretch neoprene components to enhance flexibility and deliver reliable support.

Vibram Dual-Density Sole

Traction matters, both on the ground and in the tree. This dual-density Vibram sole provides:

  • Excellent grip on bark, limbs, and uneven terrain

  • Shock absorption for long days on the ground

We don’t get to break in our boots gently; we put them straight to work! Tree Climb boots are designed with that reality in mind.

  • High ankle support for stability while trekking through rough terrain

  • Flat, low-profile eyelets reduce snagging

  • Comfortable internal padding that does not feel bulky

Gone are the days of needing multiple boots to accomplish your task; Solidur Tree Climb boots do it all!

Easy Climb Innovation System

The Tree Climb distinguishes itself from other arborist boots available on the market through its innovative design. Rather than relying on a traditional loose attachment point for connecting a knee ascender, Solidur has introduced an elegant and unobtrusive solution: integrated through-holes in the sole that accommodate cordage for creating a foot loop. These four holes provide three configuration options: a front attachment that encourages upward toe positioning, a rear attachment closer to the arch that facilitates downward toe orientation, and an option to thread accessory cordage through both sets of holes and cross it to form a centralized foot loop that distributes pressure evenly across the foot.

This also means a cleaner and more streamlined climbing boot, especially if you utilize ascenders to aid in climbing into the canopy. External foot loops can slip off or cause the climber to slip due to the lack of friction between the bottom of the boot and the tree’s surface.

Final Thoughts

Solidur Tree Climb boots have elevated the arborist footwear game. It’s clear that professionals were involved in the design process, and it shows in the details. From the integrated Easy Climb system to premium materials to real-world durability, this boot isn’t trying to reinvent tree climbing; it’s refining it! For arborists who expect their gear to work as hard as they do, Solidur is absolutely worth a serious look.
