Husqvarna550XPMark ll has an abundance of powe. I use an 18 inch bar for medium farm work and cutting firewood.
I does not have a high and low fuel setting screw on the carburetor. It has an electronic automatic fuel to air ratio system.
WhenI first began to start it for the first time, it took several rope pulls. I pushed the prime bulb several times. It would not start up running. Then, I took the spark plug out to check for fuel residue on the plug. It was too dry. So I primed thespark plug whole witha little fue, then I pulledthe rope with the plug out to force any excessive fuel out of the chamber, then put the plug back in
Then, I put the carburator on choke setting again. This time the saw tried to kick off running, but would not continue to run
I tried starting it with it out of choke,I would not even try to kick off.
Therefore,I pulled the spark plug again and primed it again, using same procedure.
I put the plug back in, put it on choke and pulled the starting rope again, several times. Each time the enginetried to kick off running.
I got to where it would begin to run a little longer on each rope pull, until finally, it kicked off and continued to run in idle speed. Since then, the motor has kicked off successfully, with only pushing the prime bulb about five times, when the engine was no longer warmed up.
It always starts up easily, on the first rope pull when it is warmed up from just having been running, after refueling, oiling, and tightening the chain on the bar.
It has a good run through the wood. It does not bog down at all. It performs a smooth cut, without any kickback.
I set the oiler screw counterclockwise to open it up, to cause the chain to be sufficiently oiled.
At present, I have only run it for about 9 hours in tree cutting service. Do not run any new chainsaw at full throttle during the first 10 hours.
