Milwaukee M18 FUEL 1/2" High Torque Impact Wrench with Friction Ring 2967-20

$299.00
SKU OHL-2967-20

The Milwaukee M18 FUEL™ 1/2" High Torque Impact Wrench with Friction Ring (2967-20) delivers up to 1,200 ft-lbs of Fastening Torque and 1,600 ft-lbs of Nut-Busting Torque when paired with an M18™ REDLITHIUM™ FORGE™ Battery — the most power-dense combination of power and size in its class. At just 7.6" in length, it accesses tight spaces where full-size wrenches cannot. The POWERSTATE™ Brushless Motor, 4-Mode DRIVE CONTROL™, AUTO-SHUTOFF™, and REDLINK PLUS™ Intelligence work together to deliver maximum productivity and protect the tool and battery from overloads, heat, and over-discharge. Tool only — battery and charger sold separately.

Key Features

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the 2967-20 come with a battery?
No — the 2967-20 is the tool-only version. It does not include a battery or charger. It is compatible with all Milwaukee M18™ batteries and chargers, including the REDLITHIUM™ FORGE™ batteries that deliver the maximum rated torque figures. If you need a kit version with batteries included, look for the 2967-22 or other kit configurations.

What is the difference between fastening torque and nut-busting torque?
Fastening torque (1,200 ft-lbs) is the maximum torque the wrench delivers when driving and seating fasteners. Nut-busting torque (1,600 ft-lbs) is the peak reverse torque available for breaking loose stubborn or corroded fasteners — typically higher because removal requires overcoming rust, thread galling, and over-torqued joints.

What does 4-Mode DRIVE CONTROL™ mean?
DRIVE CONTROL™ lets you select from four output modes to match the application. Modes 1–3 provide progressively higher speed and power for different fastener sizes and torque requirements. Mode 4 is the Bolt Removal mode, which maximizes nut-busting torque to break a fastener free, then automatically slows to 750 RPM so you can remove it with control rather than sending it flying.

What is AUTO-SHUTOFF™ and when should I use it?
AUTO-SHUTOFF™ is a mode that limits output to approximately 50 ft-lbs of torque before automatically stopping. It is designed for applications where over-tightening would damage fasteners, threads, or materials — such as assembling equipment with specified torque limits. It is not a replacement for a calibrated torque wrench in precision applications.
