We like these helmets, they are a little bulky to compared other helmets but offer superior comfort and protection for our crew members. We pair all of them with the sena 33i for great communication not only for safety and planning but also for camaraderie and crew mental well being. Let’s face it if your wearing top notch ppe and also able to communicate about the job listen to your music and tell jokes and talk about what yall had for dinner last night or what your doing this weekend how can you have a bad day at work. Mental health is a huge problem In this world now adays so it’s key to do all we can for ourselves and employees not only for physical protection and health but also mental health these helmets paired with the sena 33i has been a life changer for our crew! I would recommend them for everyone. And while I like stuff to match we buy different color helmets so when your in a tree at a glance you know who is where when it comes to your crew members.
Is the best helmet that I used
Once you get a protos- it's very annoying to work in anything else. These are just so comfortable, durable and streamlined.S= If you reguire face and ear protection in the tree or on the ground- skip to the front of the line and just get this. You'll be glad you did.
Changing my helmet was way overdue. I transition from my Petzel vertex vent with face shield and ear muffs. The Protos is a little more comfortable and secure then my Petzel helmet. I feel like I have a smaller head size, which would always need to secure my old helmet chin strap. With the Protos the back tension clip holds the helmet tight to my head without the need to secure the chin strap. I love how the Protos ear muffs tuck beneath the helmet, which is a real bonus, no more getting caught in branches which traversing a tree. The face shield on the protos is a little bulky, compared to the petzel visor, so I am still getting use to that. I plan to get the Protos integrated safety glasses in the future. Overall awesome helmet, that I would recommend if you have the money.
