They are perfect for climbing. Whether it's a simple pine tree removal or something more complex that involves maneuvering into weird positions, limb walking, or just logging down a tree they have served me well. I purchased a pair, one of each color around 8 month's ago. Very hesitant at first due to the price, i had gone through 6 pairs of cheap pants that kept ripping through the crotch/ass end, excuse my french. Bit the bullet and pulled the trigger on these, cant wait to order another two. I climb everyday 5 days a week sometimes all week, averaging around 3 trees a day. Downsides, saw chips fill pockets constantly when logging tree. Zippers would be a plus on the main two pockets. Cant access anything with saddle on. I normally empty my pocket before climbing because the saddle sits perfectly on them blocking access yet allowing chips. They are pretty baggy at the bottom, knee down. Im not interested is anything extremely tight like skinny jeans but they could be a little slimmer. Might take them to get tapered. For the price its hard to ask but having a tiny miniscule amount of padding on the knees would be nice, they do have pockets for aftermarket knee protection which accommodates them nicely. Just hard to find anything malleable that forms well when climbing. Solidur should release a matching jacket for a matching price. In conclusion, great value compared to other "arborist" pants. Solidur should allow feedback from their customers and maybe release a v2.
