The ISC Reflex V2 is the next generation of ISC’s widely trusted mechanical hitch, built on the same platform climbers know, with targeted engineering changes that significantly extend wear life where the device works hardest. Redesigned upper links with additional material and a larger wear radius, longer link geometry for increased torque, a dual-spring top link, and a shared-load friction system work together to deliver a more consistent, longer-lasting device — without changing what makes Reflex, Reflex. Available from October 2026.

What’s New in V2
- More Material in the Upper Links — Redesigned upper links have additional material and a larger wear radius at the rope-contact surfaces for extended service life
- More Torque from Longer Upper Links — Longer upper links increase torque as they engage the rope around the axles, delivering a positive, consistent bite
- Shared Load Across the Link System — Increased torque at the top axles shifts a greater share of friction to the lower links, so V2 wears more evenly and lasts longer
- Dual-Spring Top Link — Two springs extend the top link’s range of rotation to maintain performance across the full working range, while preserving the same spring resistance Reflex users expect
- Redesigned Top Axle with Cleaning Hole — New axle geometry and dedicated cleaning port make routine maintenance quicker and easier
- Stronger Top Plate — More durable top plate better resists accidental bending during day-to-day handling
What Stays the Same
- Same body
- Same frames
- Same lower link system
- Same spring resistance feel
Accelerated Wear Testing
ISC subjected the original Reflex and the Reflex V2 to repeated accelerated wear testing under identical, controlled conditions. Devices were removed at set intervals and subjected to functional performance testing. The Reflex V2 demonstrated significantly extended wear life while maintaining the same performance characteristics that climbers rely on.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Reflex V2 compatible with the same ropes as the original Reflex?
Yes — the Reflex V2 accepts the same rope diameter range: Ø11–13mm (7/16–1/2″), EN 1891 Type A kernmantle ropes only. It is not rated for use on ropes outside this specification.
Can I use the Reflex V2 for MRT (moving rope technique)?
Yes — the Reflex V2 is rated for both SRT (stationary rope technique) without additional friction, SRT with APEX/Wrench & Chipmunk FLEX Tether, and MRT (moving rope technique). Confirm your intended rigging configuration is within the device’s certified modes of use before deployment.
Are spare parts from the original Reflex compatible with the V2?
ISC has retained the same body, frames, and lower link system in the V2. User-replaceable parts listed for the Reflex V2 are the KT310A swivel-eye and KT312A karabiner alignment insert. For compatibility of any other original Reflex parts with the V2, contact us or ISC directly.
When will the Reflex V2 be available?
The ISC Reflex V2 is available from October 2026. Contact us or check back to confirm current stock status and lead times.
