Hand saws and scabbards are both extremely critical gear needed for anyone working in the Arboricultural Industry! All tree climbers are required to carry a hand saw along with their scabbard throughout all climbs. They’re great for quickly pruning trees and getting smaller, annoying branches out of the way. Many of the pruning saws we carry feature extremely sharp Tri-cut tooth technology, like the popular Corona pruning saw, and cut limbs efficiently and smoothly.

Our customers love our strong utility saws and our selection of Silky pruning saws. Silky hand saws are designed from Japanese steel and have specially designed tapered blades to help keep the hand saw moving through the entire cut without binding and sticking. The Zubat is one of the most widely used Silky pruning saws by arborists worldwide and for good reason too!

Remember, don’t climb with exposed hand saws! Cover it with a scabbard. We carry many options from professional grade leather to belted rubber scabbards. Some of our hand saws even fold into the handle, like the Silky Gomboy. 

Another great option for saw storage happens to be the Sawpod! The Sawpod is a leg mount that works hand in hand with Silky’s Zubat pruning saw. Mounting your pruning saw to your leg allows easier access when you find yourself in one of those comfortable, yet awkward positions.
