Throw lines and accessories

Throw line is a small diameter cord used with a small weight or throw bag attached to one end. The weight is thrown into a tree and over a suitable limb. A climb line is then pulled into the tree with the throw line giving the climber a safe tie in point from the ground. Throw lines come in a variety of different materials that each have different properties. Throw bags come in different weights allowing for higher throws or for use with different tree types. Some tree climbers use a Big Shot throw line launcher to get their line into a tree instead of hand throwing.
