Milwaukee M12 FUEL™ INSIDER™ Extended Reach Box Ratchet
The Milwaukee M12 FUEL™ INSIDER™ Extended Reach Box Ratchet is a genuinely new-to-world tool that reinvents how a ratchet works. Instead of a traditional square drive, the low-profile head accepts sockets and adapters inserted directly into the tool — eliminating the protruding drive that makes conventional ratchets impossible to use in tight engine bays and confined spaces.
The result is over 3/4" shorter head profile with socket attached, combined with 60 ft-lbs of max torque and 350 RPM to break loose stubborn fasteners and run them down fast. The extended reach neck keeps your knuckles clear of obstructions, and dual LED lights illuminate whatever you're working on. When the motor isn't needed, it functions as a manual ratchet — no switching tools.

🔥 Quick Decision Guide
- Best For: Mechanics and arborist equipment technicians working in tight engine bays, confined spaces, or anywhere a standard ratchet can't reach
- Not Ideal For: General fastening where access isn't an issue — a standard impact driver or ratchet will be faster and cheaper
- Skill Level: Any mechanic or technician comfortable with cordless power tools
- Use Case: Removing and installing fasteners in deep, obstructed, or tight spaces on trucks, chippers, stump grinders, and other arborist equipment
- Why Choose This: The INSIDER™ head design provides access that no conventional ratchet — cordless or manual — can match
- Compare To: Standard cordless ratchets (larger head profile, less access); manual ratchets (no power assist, same access limitations); Milwaukee M12 Ratchet 3/8" (traditional square drive, more versatile but larger head)
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this come with a battery?
No — the 3050-20 is a tool-only SKU. It requires a Milwaukee M12™ battery (sold separately). If you already have M12 batteries from other Milwaukee tools, this will work with them.
Can I use my existing sockets with this tool?
The INSIDER™ head accepts the included INSIDER™ Box Ratchet Sockets and adapters. The 1/4" and 3/8" anvil adapters allow use of standard sockets via those drive sizes. Standard sockets cannot be inserted directly into the INSIDER™ head without an adapter.
Can it be used as a manual ratchet?
Yes — the tool can be used manually without engaging the motor, making it useful even when battery power isn't available or needed.
